Total Dog Staff

In order to provide the 24/7/365 service that we do it is important to have a team of quality individuals dedicated to caring for dogs in a way that is consistent with the priciples in which Total Dog of CT operates. These principles put the dogs needs ahead of our own personal preferences and guarantees that the care stays consistent with the normal "family" life of the dog. No one person can achieve this alone and we are grateful to have a team that not only cares for the dogs on our client list but also makes the sacrifice to give to those less fortunate animals that are looking for the type of homes that we normally visit. Below are some of the dedicated people on our staff and it is a pleasure to introduce them.

Brendan Sheedy
Brendan is a graduate of Central Connecticut State university and has been a close friend for many years.  He has a passion for dogs and has two beautiful APBT's of his own including the sister of my own Sweet Pea...sadly her name is 'Fenway" although we wont hold her association with the Red Sox against her.  Brendan will be coordinating our camp services and will be actively suprvising the day to day operation of camp and overseeing the expansion of Total Dog JR. as well as another breed specific camp we will be inroducing aptly named 'Golden's Rule'.  I am happy to have Brendan as a part of my team and think he will play a key role in solidifying total Dogs place as the premier pet care provider not only in the area but hopefully around the country.

Beth Hrnciar
Graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Science and a concentration in Marine Biology. She has been a volunteer walking dogs for the past three years at the Connecticut Humane Society and a participant in their shelter dog training program (a program designed to teach dogs basic commands and skills to make them more "adoptable" pets). She is a volunteer and part of the kennel staff at PAWS in Norwalk,CT where she is in charge of feeding and medicating the animals as well as socializing, cleaning and normal shelter based tasks. She has extensive experience with dogs both large and small. Beth is actively involved in dog and small animal rescue, fostering, transporting and networking to find homes for unwanted pets. In addition Beth is taking classes to become a certified dog trainer and hopes to one day specialize in aggression cases. Beth is also certified in CPR for animals.

Julie Cao
Julie has 2 years experience walking dogs of all ages and sizes.  She currently volunteers at Connecticut Humane Society and PAWS in Norwalk,CT. She is involved in some rescue work and is currently working towards becoming a certified professional trainer. Julie is primarily doing walks and pet sits but she will also be assisting in administrative duties and will be available to our entire clientelle on any questions or concerns in that area and also will be assisting doing initial consultations. Julie is certified in CPR for animals.

Katina Wargo
Katina is the full time kennel manager at Stamford Animal Control.  She will be working as a dog walker and pet sitter primarily on the weekends and for evening walks.  Katina has a tremendous amount of knowledge and can be used as a resource for all of us.  She also works in the Kennel at Stamford/springdale Animal Hospital if any of you go there you may already know her.

Gregg Watson
Gregg is a long time friend who deserves mention on this page as a part of the Total Dog team. Many of you have had the pleasure to speak with Gregg in regards Total Dog's participation in local philanthropy. Gregg serves as our Art Director.

Toni Peters
Yes, this is my sister and we are happy that she finally got around to joining our team. She has recently moved back home from Florida and we are pleased to have her with us. Toni will primarily be doing Pet sitting but is also going to be involved as a walker and has been a dog owner for years and years so her experience is definately an asset for us. Toni holds two degrees one in criminal justice and the other as a Medical assistant where she also is employed. Toni has a tremendous heart and a sincere love for animals and while in Florida accepted my offer to bring a dog from the Stamford Pound who was deemed unadoptable to her and she gave it a loving home. That is a great example of the type of passion for dogs I want all of my staff to have...and they do!
